Black Stone Bookstore and Culture Center

Black Stone Bookstore & Cultural Center is a new African American bookstore & cultural center in downtown Ypsilanti, Michigan. Black Stone Bookstore & Cultural Center opened November 2, 2013 in the hopes of providing our customers with bestselling & classic African American books, black art & all kinds of items of African American interest! We host author readings, book clubs, poetry nights, and children's story times. But most of all: We are a bookstore where journalists, writers, professors, students & bonafide lovers of real and true African American Literature, hard-to-find, even some nearly-out-of-print books will find a spot of solace in the heart.
